Now that the days are getting shorter and cooler, the indoor range is available for open shooting from 5pm to 8pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.
With the indoor range available for open shooting two evenings a week the club NEEDS volunteer Range Safety Officers to man the indoor range during the open shoots – without a volunteer RSO for each evening of open shooting, the range is closed.
Volunteering as an RSO is a great opportunity to meet some new friends, get in a little practice, and enjoy some great conversation.
Volunteer RSOs are responsible for opening and closing the indoor range, monitoring the shooters, collecting range fees, and answering questions if necessary.
There are no specials skills or qualifications needed in order to volunteer.
The indoor range manager trains each volunteer and should a volunteer RSO ever be in a situation to need backup, at least one board member can be at the club in less than 10 minutes.
If you would like to volunteer or find out more information about the role, please contact indoor range manager, Steve Christian at firstname.lastname@example.org.
