Wildlife and Shooters in Harmony . . .
If you’ve been around SRC for awhile, you’ve probably seen some of the wildlife that make themselves at home on club property.
For those that haven’t had the opportunity to watch the deer graze behind the firing line while shooters continue their practice, you’re missing out. The deer know where their safe.

It’s That Time of the Year — Membership Renewal Time
Renewal time at SRC is upon us. Memberships are yearly memberships that expire December 31st of each year. This year, for the first time, members have the opportunity to renew their memberships online via the SRC website. You can be sure that this is a secure process with layers of security in place. The club’s website is overseen by a web development group that ensures and monitors the security of the site and the payment processor to keep our members’ payment information secure.
SRC is an all-volunteer run club and you can imagine the workload that the volunteers experience during renewal season. It is a monumental task to manage the renewals for the club’s nearly 1600 members — this is one of the reasons the club is transitioning to online renewal processing. The board decided that it would be to the club’s advantage to leverage available technology in order to best meet the needs of our members. Another reason the club is transitioning to online renewals is due to member request. With fewer and fewer people using a checkbook the only other option for members to renew was with cash — now members will be able to renew with a bankcard if they choose, and they can renew their membership from the comfort of their own home or office.

Annual Meeting of the Membership December 9th
The Annual Meeting of the Membership is Sunday, December 9th at 7pm at the Shotgun House. Join your fellow members and learn about some of the exciting happenings at SRC — and in keeping with tradition, 20 turkey breasts will be given away at the meeting (who can resist the opportunity to win a turkey breast?).
